Why does Herm-Archer matter? How does it fit into the world today?

A:

Maximizing energy use and reducing pollution is our goal. Turbocharger technology has been around for decades, especially for diesel engines. Responding to the need for greater efficiency and reduced emissions in all vehicles, we developed technology to make high-tech turbochargers for new gasoline-powered passenger cars.

How do you see the turbocharger industry changing in the near future?

A:

I see people choosing cars that offer meaningful fuel efficiency without sacrificing power. It is clear that turbos are the answer. For the aftermarket, it is the misguided perception that high-quality turbochargers are not manufactured in China. Thankfully overtime, we've build a track record to overcome this misnomer. Today we manufacture for commercial customers in Germany, Japan, and the States.

The team and I use advanced simulation and experimental tools to provide well-designed, durable products. We are efficient from top to bottom. We use Lean Manufacturing principles to save time and resources, and we require Six Sigma compliance from our suppliers as well.

Do you have a product line that you are excited about?

A:

The versions of Variable Geometry turbochargers we are developing are very interesting. They are becoming more popular with auto manufacturers because they increase fuel efficiency by a third or more and significantly reduce emissions.
